Amy Hoodless and Ellie Rylands, both 15 and from Westbury, are part of a group of 34 students going to Tanzania in the summer of 2014.
The group will help with various community projects such as helping to build a classroom and furniture, helping out in local schools and also clearing watering holes in the elephant sanctuary. Part of the expedition also includes climbing Mount Meru, the second highest mountain in Tanzania.
Both Amy and Ellie attend the Kingdown School in Warminster and need to raise £3,840 each to cover the cost of the trip.
They have done numerous fundraising activities so far, involving a school barbecue, a fashion catwalk show at the M&Co store in Warminster and a forthcoming Christmas market stall in Warminster on the 30th November. Amy has done car boot sales and bag packing at the local Morrisons whilst Ellie has done a lot of art commissions.
They both would be very appreciative of any contributions towards their fundraising. If you can help, contact: jonathanhoodless@blueyonder.co.uk
