TRIBUTES have been paid to three local men after they died in a road collision on the Westbury Trading Estate.
The incident took place at approximately 10.30pm on Friday 5th December on Quartermaster Road and involved a Citroen Saxo and a Scania LGV. Sadly, all three male occupants of the Citroen Saxo were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the LGV was uninjured.
Flowers and messages of condolences have been left at the scene for the men with Wiltshire Police confirming two are from Trowbridge, both aged 20, and the other is an 18-year-old from Devizes. The men have been named locally as Chad McVeigh, Jordan Taylor and Nathan Cox and tributes have been paid to the three men on social media websites.
A Facebook group has been set up in tribute to the three men and has already gained almost 4,000 likes. The page is called R.I.P Chad, Jordan and Nathan.
Drew Salam posted on the tribute page, “Its a pleasure knowing u boys you’ll never be forgotten” whilst another user posted, “RIP boys you will be missed by so many people and loved by so many too!! It’s so sad that you were taken so early. I can’t begin to imagine the upset and the pain the families are going through at this difficult time.”
A fireworks display lit up the sky above Westbury on Saturday evening as another tribute to the three men was paid.
Following the collision on the industrial estate the road was closed for seven hours whilst the Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the scene.
