Local volunteers have been helping the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to install a spiritual Garden area at Westbury Junior School, Queens Rd, Westbury.
Chairman of Westbury Shed Dan Gmaj said, “The initial team including Dave Turner & Mike from Wiltshire Wildlife trust, Tom ‘The Digger’ and Dan Gmaj from Westbury Shed got the project underway and the second half of the week saw brilliant and much needed assistance from ‘The Matts’ Matt & Matt who helped to barrow the many tons of slate, shingle and path hoggin and were generally helping wherever help was required.
“One of the many secrets that head teacher Richard Hatt keeps under his name at the school is the quality of the output from the School Kitchen which fuelled us all well, all week! Thank you so much Ladies!
“The resulting garden design enables an entire class to have a calming lesson in an area consisting of sensory floor surfaces, stage and chime bars and a tranquil water feature too! Light, shade greenery and bench seating all help to make the area a great place to be.”
