Westbury Leigh Primary school is delighted to welcome another full year group of expectant Reception children who will be joining the school in September.
Parents were invited to an information evening on Thursday 8th May at the school where they found out more about the school from headteacher, Debbie Grimsey. She reported, “Westbury Leigh continues to be a popular choice for parents and we are delighted to see so many wanting to get actively involved in their child’s learning already.”
Parents were given information on the work of the governing body and the fantastic fund raising that is undertaken by Friends of Westbury Leigh.
The EYFS team presented a comprehensive introduction to school life and ensured parents were well informed about the transition into school. Parents found the visit reassuring and useful.
Debbie added, “For many this is their first time back in school since they left and that can be daunting. Westbury Leigh has an excellent track record of ensuring children are well supported and get the most from their first year at school. The EYFS unit is well resourced with a welcoming team who make each child’s first experience memorable.”
Any parents wishing to find out more about the school should contact the school directly.
