WESTBURY C of E Primary School recently invited the Bishop of Ramsbury to cut the ribbon and officially open a new state-of-the-art school kitchen.
The bishop also took the time to unveil a new large-scale painting, based on a Bible quote, which is to be hung in the school foyer for everyone to see as they enter the school.
The painting, which was completed by local artist and parent Candice Breed is based on the school Bible quote, “I have done my best in the race. I have run the distance.” – 2 Timothy 4:7.
The school arranged for the Bishop of Ramsbury, Rev Dr Andrew Rumsey (who is part of the Diocese of Salisbury) to have a tour of the school with the headmaster, Richard Hatt, and chair of Governors, Ian Cunningham.
RE subject lead, Daniel Percy, said, “We are very proud of the painting and what it represents for our school.”
