HER Majesty the Queen has unveiled a memorial, made by Westbury Stonemason Nick Johnson, which commemorates those who died while serving with the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment.
Nick Johnson of Westbury stonemasons, Young Johnson attended the ceremony at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire and spoke to the Queen about the memorial.
Nick said, “It was a brilliant day, the sun shone and everything went to plan.

“I spent quite a bit of time talking to the Queen which was great. She was absolutely lovely and so easy to talk to. She asked to be shown all around the memorial which I was surprised at, she seemed genuinely interested about how it was made and where the stone came from.
“The whole day was wonderful and it couldn’t have gone any better.”
