WESTBURY will once again pay its respects to armed forces personnel past and present at the always well attended Remembrance Service on Sunday 12th November, starting at 10.55am.
The Royal British Legion (RBL), uniformed organisations and youth groups will parade through the High Street and lay their wreaths at the end of the service.
The town council says, “We welcome the Trowbridge and District Youth Band as they play for the third year running and thank them for their efforts to make the service such a poignant one.
“Staff sergeant Hannigan from the Warminster Barracks will be the parade marshal, while reverend Rebecca Harris – the rector at All Saints’ Church – will lead the service. Westbury Town Council work to bring these parties together for Remembrance every year and look forward to another strong show from the community as we remember those who have fallen.
“Wreath layers are advised that Dave Calder has ordered wreaths for this year in the normal manner. Any queries can
be pointed to him at
07771 071213 or davecalder3@aol.com. On the day, all wreath layers are asked to assemble at the rotunda where a member of staff will instruct them.”
