VISITORS from India recently attended Matravers School, as part of a process to establish links with schools on the sub-continent.
Two visitors from India, Manas Chakra-borty, an Indian advisor for education, and Iqbal Ahmad, a headteacher, visited Matravers School on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd March following a conference in Crewe hosted by The British Council.
Both visitors enjoyed a tour of the school, along with a meeting and welcome by Matravers headteacher Chris Dark and the senior management team. They then had the chance to observe some lessons.
Hayley Lacey, Matravers international schools coordinator said, “They said our school was wonderful and that the teaching and learning was excellent. They were impressed with the amount of creativity going on at school.
“This visit follows a successful to trip to India, by me, to establish links with a different school. This took place in October half-term last year.
“So far, pupils have exchanged work and are beginning to understand the culture of India and how it is different to their own.”
