THE Vinson family have breathed another sigh of relief as Alexander’s latest scan results gave him a clean bill of health.
Three year-old Alexander received proton beam therapy in the USA in December last year for an aggressive brain tumour. Now eight months on, Alexander continues to defy the odds as his scan results come back clear once again.
Mum Raluca said, “We are so pleased with the MRI result. We were very nervous to find out, ever since he had the scan we’ve been nervous actually, but there is no sign of change, so everything is very positive.
“Alexander is very well and looking forward to starting nursery in September. We didn’t really explain much to him, only that he had a poorly head and had to see a doctor to make him better, but now he is still fine. He’s not quite back to normal but we are taking each day as it comes and enjoying our ‘new normal’ life.”
Alexander will have another scan in three months and then every six months and then yearly for ten years.
