MORE than 100 10k runners and nearly 50 3k runners took part in the fourth annual Dilton Dash, hosted by Redfish Events on Sunday 19th May, this year supporting Dilton Marsh Village Fete.
The 10k route was won by John Reed and his dog from Warminster, running it in 41:27. They were followed by Daniel Piper of Hasting Runners in a time of 44:28 and in third place Lee Stone from Frome Running Club, 44:16.
The first female to finish was Veryan Cranston of Avon Valley Runners in a time of 46:27 followed by Jacqueline Rockliffe also of Avon Valley Runners 47:06 and third female was Justina Burles 50:50.
Mark Stone was awarded the 1st Dilton Marsh male finisher and Lucy Bush was awarded the first Dilton Marsh female finishers.
The 3k route was won by Ross Wayne from Purbeck Runners followed by 10-year-old Lucas Wint of Frome Running Club, who also picked up the first boy under 10 trophy, and third place was Alex Leak of the Swindon Harriers.
Lottie Brown of Avon Valley Runners was awarded the 1st girl age 11-16 and her running companion won 1st dog.
Fiona Robson of Avon Valley Runners was awarded the first female prize, Ben Phillips of Team Bath Athletic Club won first boy aged 11-16.
Redfish Events is an events business founded by Adam Firks and Tracey Hyde who put on running events to raise money for local charities and projects.
