REPORTS of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in Westbury have been made to the police in the last few weeks.
In a statement, Westbury Police said, “We are receiving regular reports of youths causing anti-social behaviour and criminal damage at some of the local schools during the school holidays. Last night (Wednesday 9th August) several youths were sighted on the roof of Westbury Infants School and were very abusive to a local resident. This is not only dangerous for the youths involved, to be climbing on the roof, but will cause unnecessary expense to the school – money will need to be spent on repairs and security instead of the pupils at the school.
“In another similar incident, damage has been caused to the new building at Bitham Park School and plant equipment at the site was also damaged. If you have any information relating to either of these incidents or of any similar event please ring 101 and report this.”
