WESTBURY’S Jay Able, who is nine years old has finished third in his class in the British Junior Minimoto Championship.
He rides a Polini minimoto, capable of speeds in excess of 60mph. He’s had a successful first season of racing, which included a couple of race wins.
Next year he’ll be moving up to the ‘Pro’ class, with his younger brother Sean, competing in the ‘Junior’ class. With a new engine, his bike will be much faster, and the competition much harder.
Jay’s father Mark Able said. “He hopes to one day be racing in MotoGP, and is currently heading in the right direction. He would like to thank all his local sponsors, without whose help, it wouldn’t be possible. So thanks to Frome Bearings and Belts Ltd, Westbury Building Services, ProtintUK/ProchipUK, Hire Standards, Vivid Signs, Smiths Engine Services, Phoenix Motorcycles, www.wiltshirebikers.co.uk, Able Motorcycle/Driver Training, as well as friends and family.”
