A TEAM of caterers from the Army Officer Selection Board in Westbury will be walking five miles around the town to raise money for the Poppy Appeal.
On Saturday 9th November, the day before Remembrance Sunday, the team from Elior UK Ltd will take on the sponsored walk and will also carry collection buckets with them.
Michael Wakelin who is leading the walk said, “They do the Run2Remember at Royal Wootton Bassett, but many of us don’t drive and so it wasn’t practical to get to Wootton Bassett. So we thought it would be great to put a local walk together.
“We’ll start off from Leighton House at around 11.00am, and walk five miles around the town, then return to work for lunch.
“I’ve got a military background, and we all work with the military, so I’m chuffed that all the guys wanted to do it.”
