People of all ages attended the 25th anniversary of the Westbury Model Railway Show recently.
Almost 200 people took part in the event, organised by the West Wiltshire Gauge 0 Group.
The main attraction was a 0-gauge test track. There was also a layout specially designed for younger visitors, who were encouraged to help control the trains.
“Seeing so many young people at the show gives us hope for the future of railway modelling,” said Rod Towler, organiser of the West Wiltshire Gauge 0 Group.
“It was another excellent day. Our thanks must go to Barrie for organising another very successful show. He can be pleased to receive all the positive feedback and comments from the visitors. Thanks also to the exhibitors who encouraged the young visitors to operate their layouts.
“Thanks also to the hard-working members of the West Wiltshire Gauge 0 Group for a happy and enjoyable show.
“Most importantly, our thanks go to the people of Westbury for supporting our show.”
The show will return next year for its 26th year at the Paragon Hall in Westbury.
