A DAY surgery service will commence at the White Horse Health Centre on Tuesday 12th February.
Patients will be able to undergo hernia surgery, vasectomy, and carpal tunnel surgery at the centre.
Procedures will be carried out by the Independent Health Group, who offer community- based surgical services under the NHS. The group previously carried out operations at Westbury Hospital.
Dr Wordsworth of the Independent Health Group said, “It has been nearly three years since we left the area due to the closure of the Westbury Community Hospital. In that time we have opened new centres in Leicestershire, Stoke, Chippenham and Reading, so it is great to be able to work out of the fantastic new White Horse Health Centre, where all the team have made us feel very welcome.”
