Wiltshire’s beauty spots aren’t going anywhere
That’s the message from the Wiltshire and Swindon Local Resilience Forum, as people are urged to stay at home and avoid unnecessary travel over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
With sunny weather forecast and people heading into the third weekend of the government’s restrictions, the advice to the public is clear.
Everyone must do their bit to help protect the NHS and save lives.
More on doing our bit this bank holiday weekend to save lives
Waste collections over the Easter period
Our waste and recycling crews will be collecting as normal on Easter Monday, so if you are due a collection, please leave your bins out as usual.
The teams also worked Good Friday and caught up with some missed recycling collections on Saturday. So many of our residents have left thank you notes out for our staff recently and they’re really grateful so thank you for showing your appreciation of their hard work.

The Wellbeing Hub
The Wiltshire Hub remains open over the Easter weekend to support the most vulnerable residents.
The Wellbeing Hub is available to anyone who is struggling during this difficult time, such as people who are shielding or self-isolating and don’t have a support network around them or know where to get help.
Our team can help provide support but also signpost people to where additional help is available in their local area – to the hundreds of community groups set-up across the county providing invaluable assistance.
Easter egg hunt
Over the Easter weekend, little ones can join our libraries team in creating a special Wiltshire egg hunt in your local area.
Children (or grown-ups!) can colour in the eggs using the template (or create your own) and then display in your window for other children and families to spot during their daily walks.
We’d love to see the wonderful designs too, so please do share your creations via Facebook and Twitter.
