CHURCHES across Westbury are hosting a variety of different festive services for people to enjoy this month.
Westbury Carol Service, All Saints’, Wednesday 20th December at 7pm
The church says, “We look forward to welcoming the Westbury community to our Carol Service on this evening. We are inviting representatives from some of our local community organisations to take part. Afterwards, we shall serve seasonal refreshments. All welcome.”
Family carols and Nativity Service at Holy Saviour, Westbury Leigh Community Hall, Saturday 23rd December, 4pm
The church says, “We re-tell the Christmas story with people dressed up as the characters in the story. You are welcome to come dressed as your favourite nativity character, eg, shepherd, wise man, angel, or a farm animal. This is suitable for all ages. We sing well-known carols and enjoy seasonal refreshments afterwards. All welcome.”
Christmas Eve Crib Service, All Saints’, Westbury, 4pm
The church says, “We look forward to welcoming all ages to our Crib service on Christmas Eve at All Saints’ at 4pm. We re-tell the Christmas story, sing some favourite carols, and bless the Christmas crib in the church. We invite the children to take part by putting together the crib scene. All welcome.”
Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, All Saints’ Westbury, 11.30pm
The church says, “At this special time, we gather late in the evening to welcome and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We sing favourite carols and remember Jesus by sharing bread and wine together.”
Christmas Day Holy Communion with Carols, All Saints’ Westbury, 9.30am
The church says, “We celebrate Jesus’ birth with well-known carols, readings and sharing bread and wine together. All Welcome.”
