A COMMUNITY coffee morning, hosted by Leigh Park Community Centre (LPCC) with All Saints’ Parish Hall (ASPH) will provide the opportunity to find out more about facilities which are needed in Westbury and the local area.
The event will be held on Thursday 24th March at 10am at the LPCC, Leigh Park Way, Westbury BA13 3FN (opposite Tesco Express).
Debbie Cole, centre manager for Leigh Park Community Centre said, “The community networking coffee morning is a great opportunity to meet with others working to support our community and help us to develop the facilities you need in Westbury and or surrounding villages.
“We would love you to join us in a relaxed environment, find out what you are doing and see how we can help you with our future plans. The event will be a great opportunity to find out what others are doing in our community!
“We are also seeking your views on the proposed developments that would help shape the emerging plans for the Leigh Park Community Centre and All Saints Parish Hall, Westbury, whose community facilities are working together to understand how their proposed developments can best meet the needs of the community of Westbury.”
Some of the ideas taken from the LPCC project plans include creating:
• Westbury’s first zero waste, environmentally friendly shop
• Community garden
• Office pods
• Health outreach (tranquil space for local holistic therapy businesses short- or long-term hire)
• Shop share where local homebased businesses display wares
Ideas for the All Saints Parish Hall in Westbury have included renovating the existing building, building a new first floor to the building, demolishing existing building and providing a new build on the site, or building a new extension.
