LA CLEF aux Champs is a four part mixed choir of 40 singers based in Lhomme, a small village in the Sarthe.
The singers come from a wide area across the valley of Le Loir in the West of France.
The choir was formed in 1999 at the request of local people by an English musician, Katherine Tewson, and her husband Brian, who is their accompanist and arranger.
In May 2013 the choir will be visiting England for the first time with the help of the Westbury – Château du Loir twinning committee and Philomel Ladies Choir which is based in Trowbridge.
The French choir will be giving a fund raising concert in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society on Friday 10th May at St Thomas’ Church in Salisbury at 7.30pm. On Saturday 11th May, also at 7.30pm, they will be sharing a concert with Philomel Ladies Choir at All Saint’s Church in Westbury.
