AN annual Guide Dog coffee morning in Westbury has this year raised in excess of £1,400 for the charity Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The event on Saturday 14th October featured a raffle, tombola and a cake stall, as well as the chance to meet Guide dogs and training puppies with their owners.
Organiser Hilary Reed said, “Everyone has given me positive feedback saying how much they enjoyed the morning and how much busier it was than last year!
“It was great to have so many pups and Guide dogs attending as the public can see where their money goes and they were all so well behaved!
“I wish thank the committee of the Labour Club who allow me the use of the hall. I can’t believe how quickly each year comes around but I enjoy the challenge of creating this event.”
Along with other fundraising events, Hilary and the team have raised in excess of £3,500 in the past few weeks for the charity, which will make a huge difference.
