CHAPMANSLADE Primary School has bid farewell to headteacher Joss Jewell.
Joss, and fellow teacher Lorraine Wade who is also retiring, enjoyed a Teddy Bears’ Picnic with the children as a farewell party at the end of the term. Joss has been teaching since 1974, with spent the last 10 years of her career as headteacher of Chapmanslade Primary School.
She says she is looking forward to the simple joys of retirement, and says the best part of her time at Chapmanslade has been the school community. The best part is the children, and the lovely staff,” she said. “All the staff get on well, we’re all here for the children. We love what we do, and the children have a wonderful time.”
