Imperial Charity of Westbury are delighted to announce the opening of their new shop in Westbury High Street on 3rd May.
Staff and volunteers have been working flat out to stock the shop with goods donated by the generous and kind hearted residents of primarily Westbury and suburbs, but also from residents of Warminster, Frome, Trowbridge and Melksham to mention just a few.
The shop has been completely refurbished and refitted to a high standard, and the Charity have high hopes of it being as successful as their other shops, which in turn will enable them to contribute even more to their charitable activities in the local community and throughout the county of Wiltshire.
The Charity President, Mr David McCance and all members of staff look forward to seeing as many of you as possible in the new shop. They would also like to remind you that all donations of goods can be made at the High Street shop or the Warminster Road shop or indeed can be collected at your convenience.
As an example of the Charity’s work over the past year some 450 residents enjoyed outings on the monthly coach trips, a total of 800 people attended the three Variety Shows they organised. They organised and funded a total of 130 entertainment sessions in Care and Nursing Homes throughout the County and also provided grants to nine Special Needs Schools of up to £1500 each to facilitate school trips, purchase of new equipment and theatre visits amongst other activities.
