MUSIC and song filled Matravers School on Thursday 7th April as the Lions held their annual interschool concert.
Seven schools from the area took part, with 120 pupils in total performing and there was a real variety of acts on display.
Westbury Infants School pupils performed a dance and a song in sign language, while Westbury Leigh Primary School performed a ‘Sound of Music’ medley. Bratton School brought their samba band to the concert, and Westbury Junior School’s ukelele group also took to the stage. Musicians from Dilton Marsh Primary, Bitham Brook and Matravers also performed. The evening finished with the combined choirs.
Westbury Lions president, Yvonne Hitchinson, presented a cheque for £125 to each school.
