WESTBURY Town Council has presented around £12,000 in grants to good causes in the town and villages.
Every year the council budgets an amount to be distributed to various causes that benefit the local community, and considers applications from local organisations. On Friday 3rd February, grants ranging from £100 to £500 each were awarded to local organisations, as approved by the town council earlier this year.
Westbury Mayor cllr David Windess said, “We had over 50 grants this year, all to very worthwhile causes. They all do good things for the community, and it’s a pleasure and an honour for the council to recognise this.”
