Renowned vocal ensemble The King’s Singers will perform at Edington Priory Church next month.
The performance will take place on Friday 15th May at 7pm.
“Three of their number have, in another life, sung in the choirs at the Edington Music Festival, so in a sense are ‘coming home’,” said a spokesperson from Edington Arts.
“They will be bringing a programme of European Romantic masterpieces: chansons, Lieder and part-songs of the 19th and early 20th centuries – vehicles for the deepest expressions of human feeling, desire and fantasy. Be ready for extraordinary storytelling and compelling thoughts on life, love, nature, death, and even the supernatural.
“This will be followed by a second half of their signature, exquisite close harmony, which they will announce from the platform. At the end of the concert, the singers will stay on for a brief meet and greet before heading back to London to resume their hectic schedule.”
Tickets cost between £15 and £30 and are available to purchase online at https://www.ticketsource.com/edington-arts or by phone on 01380 831256.
