WESTBURY’S annual Remembrance Day parade and service will take place this Sunday 8th November from 10am.
The parade will gather in the Market Place at 10am before marching off at 10.25am. The parade will pass along West End, Haynes Road, and High Street before joining the congregation at the memorial on Edward Street.
The service will be taken at the memorial on Edward Street by Revd. Sue Miles of All Saints Church, before the parade marches back to the High Street car park via Edward Street, West End and Haynes Road.
President of Westbury’s branch of the Royal British Legion, Eddie Bridges said, “The Remembrance Day service is a civil occasion but the Royal British Legion are very proud to organise it. Westbury’s service is always very well attended and collections last year reached £900.”
Members of the public are invited to gather at the war memorial from 10.30am, or if they’d like to join the parade, to meet at the Market Place at 10am.
