A library has been installed at Westbury Cemetery, creating a space for families to read to children.
The small library will hold children’s books that families can share and read together while visiting the cemetery.
A sign on the library reads, “Pages for Little Stars: Read to me, I’m not too far, your voice can reach my little star.”
Pages for Little Stars is an initiative supported by Westbury Mayor Councillor Jane Russ and Administration and Finance Assistant Niomi Harvey. The library was built and installed by Community Rangers.
A spokesperson from Westbury Town Council said, “It provides a space where families can place and share children’s books in memory of a child, offering an informal and inclusive way to support bereavement wellbeing while maintaining the dignity of the cemetery.”
Westbury Town Council took over management of the cemetery from Wiltshire Council in 2025.
