A new family fun day is coming to Westbury next month, featuring donkey rides, circus acts, food stalls, live music, and a tug-o’-war competition, all organised jointly by the Westbury and Trowbridge Lions Clubs.
The event will be held at the White Horse Country Park on Sunday 1st September from 11:30am to 4:00pm.
Organiser Rick Jotcham said, “This event is quite different from the previous car show as it’s focused on a fantastic family day out which will include donkeys, circus acts, live music, food stalls, games, and craft activities. It will be an event for the whole family, of all ages.”
There will be live music from Kirsty Clinch, Wade Merritt, Blueburst, and Stuart Saye.
Teams of eight are invited to enter the tug-o’-war competition for a chance to win £100. The tournament will feature separate heats for ladies and men, culminating in a grand final for each. Entry is £5 per person, with a minimum age of 16. All proceeds will go to local causes.
