The library at a local primary school has been upgraded and moved into a bigger space.
Bratton Primary School’s library has been moved into the school’s spare classroom to allow for more space for books, as well as space for dedicated literacy lessons.
Headteacher Natalie Burke joined school governors and their partners to complete the move during February half-term.
“We are so very thankful to Mrs Burke, the governors and their partners for making this happen so quickly,” said Louise Bunce from the school.
“Everyone at Bratton Primary School is passionate about reading, and moving the library into this larger room allows the children space to discover and pick new books, hopefully making reading a joyful life-long habit, with encouraging cosy zones to snuggle up to read and large amounts of room to allow access by larger groups of children for class based literacy work.”
The space has already been used for numerous classes and independent reading sessions.
“We look forward to seeing the library continue to grow and for our wonderful children to continue to foster a love of books,” said Louise.
