Mayor of Westbury, cllr Stephen Andrews and the mayoress Mrs Mary Stephens hosted the Mayor’s Charity Auction last month which raised over £1,100.
The amount will be split equally between the mayor’s two nominated charities for this year; Carer Support Wiltshire and The Welfare of the Elderly (Westbury).
Verity Bartlett conducted the auction which was attended by over 50 people including mayors and deputy mayors from other towns as well as representatives from local organisations.
Many local organisations and businesses donated prizes including a clay shoot for four people donated by Coombs Clay Shooting, a long weekend break in Cornwall donated by Verity Bartlett and a day pass for four people donated by Center Parcs.
The mayor and mayoress would like to thank everyone for their kind donations as without their generosity the event would not have been possible.
