WESTBURY’S infamous goose, known fondly as Gary, has found a new home on Frogmore Lake after being rescued by the RSPCA after years of causing havoc on the road near his former home on Station Pond.
On the ‘Spotted Westbury’ page it was announced, “For all those interested Gary the goose has now been returned to Westbury. Since last week he has been living on Frogmore Lake (off Slag Lane) with six other geese of his own kind. He seems very happy with his new home and friends.”
Troublesome Gary, who was thought to have been abandoned alongside another goose around three years ago when he was released onto the pond near Station Road, had a number of near misses with traffic, which prompted concerned residents to contact the animal welfare charity.
However, Westbury locals are concerned that Gary will soon return to Station Pond to cause more mischief as he has done in the past.
