Come and find out more about how Bratton Baptist Church works with other churches in the area to support local homeless people.
The next ’Bratton Evening Out’ will take place at the church on Saturday 7th March at 7.00pm and everyone is invited to come along and join members for soup and rolls, live music and much more.
The ‘soup run’ started in 1997 when several local churches decided to get together to provide soup, sandwiches and hot drinks for homeless people in the multi storey car park in Trowbridge. The number of people using the service range from three or four to over 20 and the churches cover six days a week at present.
Several members of the congregation of Bratton Baptist Church have been involved for over two years now, on the first Thursday of the month, making sandwiches, serving the food, soup and hot drinks, and providing donations and prayer support.
One of the helpers said, “It is great to be able to work with others to support the homeless in our community. We are always struck by the gratitude shown to us by our clients. We hope people will want to come along on 7th March to find out more and maybe consider getting involved too.”
This is a free event being held at Bratton Baptist Church, Carpenter’s Lane. For more information contact the church office on 01380 830746
