ZIA Pizza in Leigh Park Westbury has been shortlisted in the prestigious Independent Pizza Restaurant Award at the 2015 PAPA Awards.
Run by the Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association, Zia Pizza is one of seven pizza restaurants across the country to be shortlisted.
Judging is conducted covertly and the report for Zia said, “There is a strong focus on standards, particularly in terms of product, service and ambiance. The dining experience is exceptional at Zia and the pizzas they serve are outstanding.”
Vittorio and Andrea, owner/chefs at Zia’s said, “We are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award, we were up against hundreds of restaurants from across the country and to be down to a shortlist of seven is amazing. Our small team here works really hard to make sure we serve great pizzas and a good range of Italian pasta on our menu.”
A full list of the shortlisted restaurants is: • La Favorita, Edinburgh • Bella Napoli, Glasgow • Battlefield, Glasgow • Suffolk Stonehouse, Suffolk • Zia Pizza, Westbury • Pizza Café, Newton Abbot • Pizzeria Venezia, Rushden.
From the shortlist, an undisclosed number will receive a Gold Award and one will receive a Platinum Award – each will be announced at the Awards taking place at the Lancaster London Hotel this month; the Awards will be presented by celebrity Italian chef, Aldo Zilli.
