WESTBURY traders are reminding residents that there are plenty of great Christmas gift ideas and festive items you can pick up in town.
They are urging people to shop locally to support the town – especially as the roadworks are now complete.
“Everything from Christmas gifts to Christmas trees are on offer right on your doorstop and it is possible to grab your festive essentials, or a quality gift, quickly and easily,” says Lucy Newmarch-Christensen, from Westbury Chamber of Commerce.
“Westbury is lucky to have a variety of retailers with excellent product knowledge and customer service. Some of these are visible on the High Street and some are tucked away in our wealth of trading estates.
“If you haven’t found the perfect item yet please mosey on down; I’m sure you’ll find what you are after! If you are really stuck, drop me a line on lucy@wessexchambers.org.uk because the Chamber is there to help our local businesses.
“Farm shops can supply a locally-reared free range turkey. Plant centres and shops are stocked up with real Christmas trees. Pop into shops in the town to select a festive gift, buy a gift voucher from a local business, or browse homemade crafts and homemade cakes at a local market or Christmas fair.”
Westbury’s very own department store, Davies of Westbury, is backing the calls for Westbury people to shop locally. “There’s a great range of gift ideas in the town,” says Gary Davies, whose own store stocks great gadgets, top tools, family fun ideas, toys and gifts – in fact, says Gary, “everything you need for Christmas!
“If you want a thousand and one gift ideas, this is the place to come. You’ll also find a fantastic selection of Christmas gifts and everything else you need for the festive season.”
