THE annual Tractors and Trotters rally, organised by the Duke at Bratton, raised £250 for Cancer Research UK last month when local enthusiasts took to Salisbury Plain on the vintage vehicles.
Organiser and landlord at the Duke, Andy Hobbs said, “Aside from getting very wet, the day went really well. About 20 of us drove over to Imber, which was open for the Easter weekend. One tractor broke down on the way out of the village, but we towed it the rest of the way.
“We started the event a couple of years ago because I knew a few local people had old tractors, so we got together and went for a drive in them.
“It’s popular and we had a lot of interest, though I think the rain put some people off this year. All going well, we’ll be hoping to do the same again next year.”
