RESIDENTS in the Laverton ward have until 5th April to request an election, in order to fill the vacancy on the town council. The vacancy arose after Dorian Jones resigned earlier this month. A notice of vacancy has been published by Wiltshire Council and now a minimum of 10 electors must request an election if one is to be held. If an election is requested, a date will then be set.
