MAYOR David Windess recently re-opened Westbury Junior School’s pond and wildlife area.
Year 5 have spent the last term learning about wildlife and habitats. As part of their topic on wild Wiltshire, the pond has been transformed from an abandoned overgrown area to a wonderland for wildlife. A bug hotel was also made to attract smaller creatures.
During the course of the afternoon parents came to view the pond and look at all the work completed over the term by the pupils.
The year 5 teachers Mrs Hannah Duffy, Miss Rachel Dardecker and Miss Eleanor Storr are extremely proud of the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by all pupils.
