LION president, Angie Fawcett, will be representing Westbury Lions Club at Buckingham Palace this week to mark the 100th anniversary of Lions Clubs International.
Their patron, The Countess of Wessex, will be hosting a reception at Buckingham Palace and will be joined by members from across the British Isles at the centenary reception, together with the organisation’s charity partners.
Westbury Lions help their local community through fund-raising and organising events such as the annual Donkey Derby, Christmas Float and their popular 10k Run.
Lions Clubs International support major projects that address diabetes, young people, the environment, hunger relief, childhood cancer and sight issues affecting communities throughout the world.
