There was a packed awards evening at the new studio of Ideal Images Photography recently when the winners of White Horse Dog of the Year 2014 were announced.
1st prize, with a very topical pose, went to Harry, a Border Collie belonging to Kelly Richards. Kelly said, “I’ve never won anything before. This is terrific.”
Kelly took home a fabulous framed photograph of Harry generously donated by Designer Framing on The West Wilts Trading Estate.
Second place, winning a bag of Specialist Dog Food donated by Trophy Pet Foods was awarded to Arthur, a very laid back Labradoodle belonging to Sian Millward. Third place, with a very athletic Widget was awarded to Charis Griffiths who wins a free booster injection provided by Harris, Hill & Gibbons. Charis said, “That’s very timely, as she is just about due for her booster.”
The online, public vote showed an absolute runaway win for Bo-Diddley, an equally acrobatic and very handsome Staffie belonging to Ben Mabbett. Bo wins himself a grooming session courtesy of Furnecessity Grooming Salon.
David Douglas from Ideal Images Photography expressed his delight at the success of the competition. He said, “It was quite clear that all the entrants enjoyed their photo session and everybody put a great deal of time and effort into choosing their favourite pictures as entries. I hope to see many of these owners back again next year for
White Horse Dog of the Year 2015.” Early interest can be expressed by e-mailing david@iipltd.co.uk
