Founder of local care company Butterfly, Anne Pelling, celebrated her 50th birthday by jumping out of a plane to raise cash for a local charity.
She overcame her fear and completed a skydive over the weekend of 23rd/24th April, and has so far has raised more than £800 for Dorothy House Hospice – well above her target of £500.
Anne said, “It was the most amazing and awesome experience. I did it and live to tell the tale! I’d like to thank everyone who has sponsored me and I’m aiming to raise £1,000 in all.”
Anne, who lives in Dilton Marsh, received the gift of a sky dive from her children Ben and Hannah Wicks. She decided to raise money for Dorothy House Hospice as it’s the charity for 2016 chosen by her team in Bath and Wiltshire.
The skydive is the first of several events planned by the Butterfly team of 73, who work from two offices – in Westbury and in Odd Down, Bath. Anyone who wishes to make a donation can do so by visiting –
