A LOCAL trust is seeking storage facilities for their substantial catalogue of books on philosophy.
The Prometheus Trust is an educational trust which is involved in publishing, educational courses and conferences. It has undertaken an ambitious publishing programme and now offers the world’s most comprehensive catalogue of works on platonic philosophy – some 12,000 books – and needs somewhere to store them!
Tim Addey, who is one of the three founding members of the trust explains, “We’re especially concerned with philosophy as a way of life, rather than academic study, and have a worldwide reputation. We have the largest catalogue on books on platonic philosophy anywhere in the world.
“What we’re looking for is storage facilities suitable for storing books. They need somewhere dry, and within easy reach of Westbury.
“The amount of books means they weigh an awful lot, so it would have to be ground floor storage. We’re taking delivery of three new titles, so we’re looking for somewhere around 20ftx10ft.”
