WESTBURY Family History Group has planned a knitted poppy display for Remembrance this year, but need more help to put it together.
Alongside their ‘1914-1918 Those Who Served’ exhibition to take place at All Saints Church, the Family History Group is planning to showcase a knitted poppy display.
For months volunteers from the history group, members of the church, members of the Woolie Wednesday knitting club and Emma Symonds and her knitters at EJ Crafts have been busy with their needles and have knitted thousands of poppies to be used in the display.
On Saturday 27th October, the group has planned a ‘drop-in’ session in All Saints Parish Hall to create the display and welcome help from the community. If you are able to go along and help, you can contact them on westbury@wiltshire fhs.co.uk for more details.
