A GERMAN visitor who came to Westbury in the 1970s is looking to get back in contact with those she met during her time in the town.
Rosemarie Oberle visited Westbury in 1974 when she was just 16 years old and now, at the age of 61, she is hoping to return to the town and be reunited with those she stayed with during the summer holidays.
Rosemarie said, “I stayed in Westbury during my summer holidays with John and Judy Nichols and their three children in Royston House, 17 Alfred Street.
“Sometimes I went out with a young man, Staveley Dawson and his jealous dog. It would be great to find out if the Nichols family and Staveley still live in Westbury. I would so much like to get in contact with them.
I will travel to Cornwall this year, and will stop in Westbury, (which was my first visit to England). I do remember the White Horse and the church, where we sang ‘Morning has broken’ long before Cat Stevens did it.”
